1. Who We Are

sweetSpot is operated by HONEYTECH Inc. ("we," "us"), a company registered in the Republic of Korea. It is an AI-powered conversational tool that helps people in romantic partnerships prepare for difficult conversations with each other. By accessing the service, you ("you," "user") agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Not Medical or Mental-Health Care

sweetSpot is not a medical service, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, counseling, or any form of licensed mental-health treatment. The AI coach is a software tool and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or clinical advice. Nothing in the service should be relied on in place of consultation with a qualified licensed professional.

3. License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your own non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Submit content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service.
  • Use the service if you are under 18 years old.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the text you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the service (sending it to our AI model providers, generating analyses, storing it for your retrieval). We do not sell your content. We do not share content between the two participants of a couple session.

5. Payment

Some features require a one-time payment per couple session. Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase. Payment is processed by the payment provider shown at checkout. We do not store full card details on our servers. You may withdraw your purchase within 7 days under applicable Korean consumer-protection law; however, because the analysis is digital content made available immediately upon payment, the right of withdrawal may be limited once the analysis has been provided (we disclose this before payment). If the service was not delivered as described or is defective, you may request a refund regardless.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI-GENERATED OUTPUT MAY BE INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR INAPPROPRIATE FOR YOUR SITUATION. YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN JUDGMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, RELATIONSHIP OUTCOMES, OR LOST OPPORTUNITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THIS SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

8. Crisis Situations

If our AI detects content suggesting risk of self-harm, harm to another, or domestic violence, it will surface crisis resources such as 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233), or, in Korea, 1577-0199 and 1366. These are referrals, not commitments to intervene. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 112 or 119 in Korea).

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time by clearing your browser cookies. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the court having competence over our principal place of business (Suwon District Court), unless a mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
